LLC (Latvian “SIA”) is a private limited liability company, which is the most commonly used form of business in Latvia.
Share capital can either be paid in cash or contributed in kind of assets. The minimum share capital value is EUR 2,800 and at least a half of it has to be paid in cash.
Until applying for registration of the company in the Register of Enterprises at least a half of the share capital has to be paid, the remaining part must be paid within one year time from the date the company has been registered in the Register of Enterprises.
A limited liability company in Latvia can be established in less than a week in case all necessary documents are submitted for registration.
For foreigners the following documentation will be required:
- notarized and apostilled passport copy;
- notarized and apostilled company registration documents (prepared by our lawyers);
- utillity bill not older than 3 months.
Before registering company you will need to send us a scanned passport copy of the shareholders and board members of the company as well as company name that you have chosen to check for availability.
